The AI K-Shaped Economy

The A.I K-Shaped Economy

We are already living in an A.I driven world!

The impacts that it will have on the way the world as we know it is unfathomable.

There is massive speculation as to what it is capable of, and what we know for sure it will be able to do.

But…

Have you ever considered the impacts that it might have on your own potential future as it relates to your skills, knowledge and career?

Enter… The A.I Shaped Economy

Artificial intelligence isn’t just changing the economy, it’s reshaping it entirely.

20% of jobs are about to get supercharged, while 80% could completely vanish.

The Winners (Enhanced by A.I.)
If your job involves creativity, strategy, leadership, or deep expertise, A.I. will likely make you 10x more productive. Think of a copywriter using A.I. to brainstorm ideas in seconds, a doctor analyzing patient data instantly, or a stock trader getting real-time insights that used to take hours to generate. These people won’t be replaced, they’ll be augmented, making their work far more valuable.

The Losers (Replaced by A.I.)
On the flip side, repetitive and process-driven jobs are in trouble. Data entry, customer support, and even basic coding are being automated away. If your work can be easily broken down into rules, A.I. is coming for it. Just look at companies replacing entire call centers with A.I. chatbots or self-checkout machines wiping out cashier jobs.

So, What Can You Do?

This shift isn’t about fear, it’s about adapting. If you want to be in the 20% that thrives, focus on skills that A.I. can’t easily replicate:
✅ Critical thinking & problem-solving
✅ Emotional intelligence & leadership
✅ Creativity & innovation
✅ Complex decision-making

A.I. isn’t going anywhere, so your ability to think, adapt, and create will always be your biggest asset.

The question is: Will you be enhanced or replaced?

The Secret Habits of Supercommunicators

Have your ever heard of a “supercommunicator”?

Neither had I, until last week.

Charles Duhigg is and author best know for his New York Times Best Seller, The Power of Habit.

In this episode of Modern Wisdom, Chris and Charles dive into the art of effective communication and what separates great communicators from the rest.

They explore the key differences between communicators and “supercommunicators”, how introverts and extroverts navigate conversations differently, and why vulnerability plays a crucial role in building deeper connections.

Expect to learn

  • How to ask better questions

  • Improve your small talk

  • Develop charisma that makes people feel truly heard

  • The best and worst ways couples communicate

  • The surprising impact of laughter (as discovered by NASA)

  • How online discourse is shaping modern communication

What you can take from this episode: Mastering communication isn’t just about talking, it’s about listening, understanding, and making others feel valued.

Some great golden nuggets in here. I put this one on while doing chores around the house.

MOTIVATION

There Are Two Ways To Live A Longer Life

"There are two ways to live a longer life:

1) Biologically. Extend the timeline between your birth and your death.

2) Psychologically. Fit more lives into whatever time you are given.

Make each decade rich with experiences and perhaps you can live a handful of lives before you are done."

40 Thoughts On Turning 40

40 Thoughts On Turning 40

Reflections are often something we forget to do in today’s busy world, which is why I find written pieces like this so profound.

This article, written by Paul Millerd, talks about his thoughts on turning 40 years old.

I really enjoy reading these as they are usually really insightful and provide such valuable lessons on what we should really prioritize now and what we should learn to let go of going forward, so we don’t repeat the same mistakes as those before us.

Here are a few gems I took from this piece:

  1. You can reorient your life in a new direction quickly but the underlying rewriting of scripts and rewiring of your nervous system takes much longer than you would ever expect.

  2. The desire to escape work is pervasive and keeps far too many stuck in less-than-ideal situations. People dream of one day becoming financially free. This is a mistake. You can’t escape work, you can only transcend it, something that becomes obvious upon leaving employment. Once I realized there was no escape, I could soften into the more human impulses to create, contribute, and be useful. This seems to be universal across people and time. Can this make you enough money though? I can’t promise that.

  3. A “good job” can still be bad work. It’s easy to confuse a life that makes sense on paper with one that fills your heart and soul.

  4. Money is one of the most powerful forces in the world. Never underestimate its role in shaping all of your decisions as well as everyone around you.

  5. “Have you tried doing less on the problem?” is an underrated strategy to get unstuck. Most people try to do more.

This is well worth a read if you have x minutes today.

Ambitious Question

If you had to teach one lesson to the entire world, what would it be and why?

In case you missed last year's newsletter, I spoke about:

TEACH: The Glass and Rubber Ball Theory – Not all tasks are equal. Some are glass—if dropped, they shatter. Others are rubber—they bounce back. Prioritize what truly matters and let go of distractions.

INSIGHTS: Genetics Matter – Hard work matters, but genetics play a major role in fitness. Dr. Mike Israetel breaks down realistic expectations, protein intake, and why consistency is key.

MOTIVATION: Personal Growth Journey – “Personal growth is the process of learning to lie to ourselves less.” When you take full accountability for your life, everything changes.

EXPLORE: Coffee Is Your Daily Health Boost – Your morning coffee does more than wake you up. A study shows it can cut mortality risk by 30%, enhance brain function, and boost performance—just time it right.

Ambitious Question: What are the glass balls in your life right now? Are you treating them like rubber ones?
